Make this journey yours

A little closer
to the place.

Ottawa and Montréal offer different ways to experience Canada’s city life, and both deserve time beyond a quick photo stop. This proposed journey combines the capital’s civic landmarks with Old Montréal’s streets and Mount Royal’s city views. Three days work as a planning starting point when finishing in Montréal; a Toronto return is better given a fourth day. Share your hotel plans, interests and final destination so sightseeing, intercity travel and any onward connection can be considered together.

How the journey
could unfold.

A considered starting point, with time for the stops you care about. We can adjust the order, walking time and overnight plans when preparing your quote.

Make this journey yours
  1. Day 1 · Arrive in Ottawa

Travel from Toronto, then allow a measured introduction to the capital: exterior views around the Parliament precinct, the canal locks and ByWard Market’s streets and dining. Keep the first afternoon flexible around the arrival time before an Ottawa overnight.

  2. Day 2 · Culture, then Montréal

Choose an available, prebooked parliamentary visit or a museum that interests your group, then continue to Montréal. An evening around Old Montréal and the Old Port can introduce the next city without adding another major timed attraction.

  3. Day 3 · Notre-Dame and the old streets

Plan a daytime visit to Notre-Dame Basilica, followed by Saint-Paul Street and time around the Old Port. Give the basilica and a meal their own place in the schedule; the evening AURA experience requires its own booking arrangements.

  4. Day 3 · Mount Royal and your next stop

If the weather and walking conditions suit, include Mount Royal’s Kondiaronk viewpoint. Reaching the terrace involves walking. Finish at your agreed Montréal destination, with any onward flight or train shaping the final part of the day.

  5. Day 4 · Optional return to Toronto

For a round trip, reserve a separate return day with breaks. A stop on the way can be discussed, but should have its own time allowance rather than being added to a full sightseeing schedule.

Make a moment
of it.

Choose the experiences that suit your party. Reservations, admission and operating calendars are checked separately from your private transport.

A parliamentary visit or a museum

Choose one Ottawa interior visit that matches your interests. Parliamentary tour buildings, availability and reservation requirements should be checked through the official visitor programme.

The basilica by day or AURA by night

Notre-Dame’s daytime visit and AURA offer different experiences and use separate admission arrangements. Choose one or reserve both with enough space in the itinerary.

More time in Old Montréal

Shorten another stop and linger over a meal, the old streets and the waterfront. This version can suit travellers who prefer neighbourhood atmosphere to several timed visits.

Be clear about the final city

Three days ending in Montréal, or four returning to Toronto, are starting points for planning your route. Intercity driving is a substantial part of the journey; flight times and hotel plans can change the route.

Reserve the visits that matter most

Confirm the exact parliamentary tour and basilica admission you want. Tickets, meals, hotels and overnight transport-related arrangements need to be agreed in the quote or arranged separately.

Plan for city walking

Old-town streets and Mount Royal involve time on foot. In colder or wet weather, shorten outdoor sections and choose suitable indoor visits; explain walking preferences before the final schedule is set.

Clear arrangements, before you travel.

Your quote sets out the vehicle, pickup, route, service time and agreed inclusions. Attraction tickets, meals, tastings, accommodation and additional charges are included only when expressly confirmed. A preferred vehicle or experience is a request until confirmed.
